Founder & CEO

The founder and CEO of Jones Advanced Logistics Ltd. has over 20 years of experience in Oil and Gas Logistics and is the holder of an MBA in International Trade, Logistics and Procurement from Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, the post-graduate faculty for Business Studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI).

After starting his career in 1996, in the following years, he became a pioneer in Oil and Gas Logistics in Trinidad and Tobago and the Latin America Region. Before the Logistics field became popular in Trinidad and Tobago, one of the major Oil and Gas operators in Trinidad and Tobago decided to do an experiment by having a Logistics Coordinator, then called a Rig Clerk to work alongside the Rig Drilling Supervisor on one of their drilling rigs in an effort to reduce operations costs.

The founder and his counterpart started this position and the experiment worked extremely well and both received awards from the operator in the first few months of the experiment. Following the success of this activity, the operator requested Logistics Coordinators on all their drilling rigs operating in Trinidad and Tobago waters to which the Founder and his counterpart were charged to train the new incomers in the role. Today this function is a mandatory function not only for this operator’s operations but for all the other Oil and Gas operators in Trinidad and Tobago. After this, he was given the opportunity to start other shore-based roles within the operator’s organization.

In 2020 he held the role of Shore base Project Manager for SBM Offshore, managing the construction and installation for the FPSO (Liza Destiny) that was contracted by Exxon Mobil Guyana. He exceeded expectations in this role and managed the operations extremely well, helping to reduce time and cost for the project. This operation was an outstanding performance as compared to their other worldwide operations.

In 2021 he held the role as a Logistics Coordinator for Tullow Oil in 2021 to support their operations in Suriname where they drilled an exploration well. The logistics process for this project was seamless.

He also supported BHP’s Ruby Block 3A and Broadside Block 14 projects in Trinidad as a Logistics Coordinator.
